We served in Latin America from 1998 to 2001.
Our one-year assignment in San Juan, Costa Rica was basically to learn Spanish. We also served in Iglesia Bautista Cinco Esquinas (Five Corners Baptist Church).
Our assignment in Caracas, Venezuela was two-fold: Jeff was the Financial Support Leader; and we were both on the Barrios Caracas Team, working among the 5,500,000 people living in the slums of Caracas.
