When Alyssa's friends at American Academy for Girls, who are almost all Muslims, found out that she would not be on Facebook for over six weeks(!) they were amazed. How could anybody last that long?!? One Muslim friend of Alyssa's at school said, "You must really love Jesus!" She also said, "I guess it makes sense: after all, Jesus died for you, so you can at least give up something for Him."

We are Jeff & Diane Brown, and our Children Daniel & Alyssa. We live crossculturally to offer a semi-nomadic Muslim people group in Asia the option to know God by following Jesus1.

Our life-guide, the Bible, says that one day “this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come” 2, resulting in “a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne”3 of God and before Jesus. It says that we “should look forward to that day and hurry it along”4.

Therefore “[we] make it [our] ambition to proclaim the good news, not where Christ has already been named …but as it is written, ‘Those who have never been told of him shall see, and those who have never heard of him shall understand’”5. Our passion is to see the list of the world’s people-groups (tribes, peoples, languages) that are not yet represented in that “vast crowd” shrink, and to see the list of people-groups that are represented in heaven grow.

“But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?”6 And so we go – to hurry that glorious end along…
